Your own images and sound

A launch film is about your product, so the screens in it have to be your screens. Everything you import stays the source of truth for the shot it is placed in: nothing is redrawn, filtered or invented over it.

Importing a file#

The plus button beside the composer opens the import menu. You can also drop a file straight onto the composer, which is the shorter road for a screenshot you just took.

Image
Screenshots and logos. The picture a shot is built around.
Video
A screen recording, when a still cannot show the gesture. A shot plays your clip, or its first seconds when the shot is shorter.
Audio
A soundtrack under the film, with its volume and the second it starts at.
Font
Your own typeface, so the film reads like the rest of your brand.

Putting a picture in a shot#

Open the Media tab of Your film: each shot lists its picture places, and pressing one imports into it. The picture is attached to the project rather than to that one shot, so the same screenshot can appear in several without importing it twice.

It survives a reload, and it is the picture the export draws. What you approve on the board is what comes out of the render.

Soundtrack and typeface#

One soundtrack and one typeface serve the whole film. The music is set in the Sound tab of Your film, where Change picks another track or one you imported in Assets; the typeface is set in its Brand tab.

Music and sound effects#

The music library holds tracks and sound effects ready to use, sorted by mood and by family: whooshes, clicks, pops, impacts, risers and more. Press one to hear it.

In a template, the effects are often mixed into its music: choose other music, or None, to change them one by one. An effect you add lands on the shot at the playhead, with its own volume.

The narrator#

Some templates come with a voiceover. It sits under Voice in the Sound tab of Your film, with its volume and its lines, and Hear the narrator plays it with the board.

Your colours#

The project’s brand holds four colours, background, accent, text and panels, and every shot is drawn in them. The guided brief proposes them from your site; you can correct them there before anything is drawn.

A shot can still depart from them where you want it to: its colour fields sit under Style in the inspector.
